RACE CAR DRIVER ANGEL CLEMENTE FROM PUERTO RICO WILL RACE IN FARA USA RACING AT HOMESTEAD-MIAMI SPEEDWAY

Fans are very excited about this weekend race, and the reason probably is the quality of drivers that are joining this sanctioning body, tico-200like Angel Clemente from Puerto Rico in his Mazda No. 53. Clemente is a champion in many categories, and many countries.

October 02, 2013 – FARA USA was established in the State of Florida, and has been very active in the community especially in the Spanish segment and proved to be very important to the auto industry and its products.

FARA USA was created by a group of drivers, organizer of the most important, serious and attractive categories dedicated to the world of auto racing, connecting a vast and growing niche of racers along with advertisers to the general public in Florida and South East United States, according to Reinaldo “Tico” Almeida it’s founder.

Tico Almeida, like everybody knows him, was the organizer of the first association of Latin American drivers in Miami (ACALAM). Was also promoter of the first road racing event in the Miami area at the Miami Hollywood Speedway in the 70s. He was a professional driver in the IMSA circuit in the 70′s and 80′s with T&R Racing and HiTech Racing.

Almeida finished 2nd In GTO Class in 1982 in the IMSA Series, and also has been involved in Financing and angel 200Real Estate for many years. Tico Almeida has always, at the same time, been involved in racing development and competition engineering. Their full dedication will feature high quality racing for all, especially for those with low or limited budget in our Region.

FARAUSA is predominantly for amateur drivers or beginners that will be competing with the most experienced pilots in every class, all under affordable and equal level playing field and technical specifications.

One of those experienced drivers is Angel Clemente from Puerto Rico, who initiated in auto racing in 1976 at the Caguas Race Track in PR.

In 1977 started racing in different circuits in the US, like the Hollywood Speedway, the Moroso Motor Speedway in West Palm Beach, Road Atlanta and endurance races in Daytona and Sebring.

In 1984, Clemente returned to the Puerto Rico Speedway’s, and from there, he raced in Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Costa Rica, Panama and Trinidad & Tobago among others.

In his illustrious career as a Race Car Driver, Angel Clemente won first place in GT-U, in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2004. In 2005 and 2006 he won first place again in GT-1. Clemente got many 2nd and 3rd places along the way.
